Birmingham, AL — The City of Birmingham’s warmth supply drive will continue today, Wednesday, Nov. 8 until 4 p.m. in front of Boutwell Auditorium. Due to another event at Boutwell, the Thursday, Nov. 9 drive date has been rescheduled. Supplies will not be collected on Thursday. The new additional dates will be Nov. 28 – 30 at Boutwell from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Collections will be used to support warming stations coordinated by the city and its community partners and to help those experiencing homelessness.  

Donors can drive in front of Boutwell and someone will unload their vehicle. Boutwell’s address is 1930 Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd. 

Volunteers will be accepting:    

  • Bottled water  

  • Toilet paper  

  • Paper towels  

  • New or gently-used coats  

  • New gloves and winter caps  

  • Hand warmers
